The State QSO Party Group has approved the Canadian Prairies QSO Party for the 2022 SQP Challenge competition and the 2022 WAQP awards. We are excited to have this new QP onboard and we look forward to participating in this brand new QP! We now have 47 QPs for 2022!

The Organizing Committee for the Canadian Prairies QSO Party is pleased to announce the first ever event highlighting amateur radio activities in the three Canadian Prairie Provinces: Alberta (VE6),  askatchewan (VE5) and Manitoba (VE4).  The inaugural CPQP will take place on Saturday, May 14 from 1700z to 0300z, Sunday, May 15, 2022 (10 hours).  The event is open to all licensed amateurs worldwide.  The objective is for amateurs in the three provinces to contact other ham operators across North America and the world.

Many have asked if we’re going to have the SQP Challenge for 2022.  The answer is ABSOLUTELY! We would like to welcome the Quebec QSO Party as a 2022 SQP Challenge “Approved Contest”. We currently have 47 QSO Party contests approved for 2022!
QP contesting activity during the last two years has been at an all-time high and we’re here to help make 2022 even better!  We’ll kick-off the ‘big dance’ at the Vermont QSO Party on February 5th at 0000z. See you there!
